Thrash is all well and good, but Jeff Buckley is much better.

Well all still like thrash, we are just not 13 anymore.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Re: You know you spend too much time on UK Thrash when...
I wouldn't say I like Thrash any more. I still listen to the odd band but I just can't listen to a lot of stuff I used to have on my PC. It's not as if I stopped listening to Thrash to be accepted by people at Uni because most people still fucking hated what I'd stick on the jukebox when we were out playing pool or whatever, e.g. Boston, Duran Duran or The Smiths. Fucking terrible music is probably the thing I miss least about being a student. My flat mates always wondered why I'd bugger off to my room to drink and listen to Death when they were listening to the Lost Prophets and/or watching Scrubs.

Bit angsty isn't it?

As i have said 80,000 times before. When i first came onto this forum thrash was relatively new to me so of course i was going to bum it. But with further exploration it becomes a rather limited genre and only a real select few bands stand out.
Fortunately enough for this whole thrash revival we are seeing a lot more deviation from the traditional template (here at least)

Immortalicide wrote:I cant understand how it can be said "no longer likes thrash". If you really truly liked it before, then how can you "go off" it. Fuck, this place is full of trendy wanks!!! I couldnt go off thrash even if i wanted too!! Thrash has played a major part in my life for the last 25 years, thats longer than most of you scene pricks have been contaminating this planet
It was just a joke - I still like thrash but I just meant a lot of people who have been here a while have toned down expressing it every day. I kind of agree with Bill that it has its limits as a genre, but there are plenty of gems from the past, and many no doubt I could still do with hearing. I don't really go out of my way to track down and listen to new thrash bands now though... maybe I will again in future.

I had my hair cut recently and I don't regret it at all! With it being curly it's such a pain in the arse to maintain!

Aye but I was 18 back then and thought that Death were the dog's bollocks.

All the Polish seem to be wearing it these days so it is like a daily laugh for me at the moment.
