Store - Band/Label Guide
On this page you can find answers to questions about managing your account on the UKThrash.co.uk Web Store.
How do I add an item to the store?
Click on the "Add an Item" link on the "Management" section of the right-hand navigation bar. You need to be logged into the forum as the nominated Store Manager for your band for this section to be shown. If this section isn't shown, send a Priave Message to Craig via the forums.
Important: You must enter a PayPal email address to enable the item to be ordered. This must be a valid, active PayPal account.
How do I receive payment for items?
Payment is made via PayPal to the address given on the "Add an Item" page. This address can be changed by going to the "Manage Items" page and clicking "Edit" next to the appropriate item.
I run a label/distro. Can I offer my products on the store?
Labels are free to sign up for a Store account following they satisfy the requirements for an account. Distros may apply for an account, but should only do so if they are specifically targeting the UKThrash marketplace, and offer the same genre of material.
Does UKThrash charge any commission?
No, there are no charges for adding items to the UKThrash store, nor do we charge any commission on sales made through the store. However, we do encourage bands to show their support for the website by donating to UKThrash.co.uk. Details can be found on the "Donate" box on the left.
What if an item I'm selling goes out of stock?
You can toggle the "out of stock" check-box on the "Edit" page for each item. If an item is out of stock, purchasing will be disabled and a notice will be displayed on the item's detail page.
What if the category I want isn't shown?
Contact one of the UKThrash Admin Team and they will add the category to the store, or advise the correct category if one exists.
Will you allow digital downloads of albums?
No, however this is something that we are considering for future development of the Store. We need to be confident that the system is robust enough to handle mp3 downloads, and also confirm any legal issues surrounding purchasing of music online.
